Vault & Bar Settings

Fine-tune your mixing preferences, switch between distinct bar locations, and safeguard your recipes with portable backups.

The Vault Settings screen houses everything you need to adapt Speakeasy to your personal cocktail workflow, from metric units to keep-awake counter screen modes.

Accessing Settings

You can open the Settings view anytime:

Tap your Profile Pill in the top header (or the Sign In icon when in guest mode).
Or navigate directly from the app drawer or footer links by selecting Vault Settings.

Mixing Preferences

Tailor how cocktail recipes and glassware graphics render on your screen:

Measurement Units: Toggle between fluid ounces (oz) and metric milliliters (ml). All recipe specs recalculate cleanly with standard bar measurements.
Fluid Appearance: Choose between layered fluid rendering showing distinct component colors or a blended glass mode simulating final stirred and shaken drinks.
Screen Wake-Lock: Keep your phone or tablet display awake on the kitchen counter while your hands are busy shaking, stirring, or straining drinks.

Managing Multiple Bars

If you keep different bottles at different places, Speakeasy lets you maintain separate inventories under one profile:

In the Active Bar Selection section, review your existing profiles (such as Main Bar or Kitchen Cart).
Select Add Bar to create a new location, like Summer Cabin or Office Bar.
Switch between profiles with a single tap. Each bar maintains its own independent bottle checklist and ready-to-make drink tallies.

Data Portability & Backups

Your cocktail library always belongs to you:

Export Full Backup (JSON): Download a single structured file containing all your custom drinks, backbar inventory, drink history logs, and saved event menus.
Import Backup File: Restore your complete setup onto a fresh device or transfer your collection without needing cloud servers.
Export Reminder: Speakeasy keeps track of the last time you downloaded a backup so you never lose track of your records.

Pinned Home Collections

Curate the top rows of your Home screen showcase:

Add or reorder custom tags like Favorite, Summer, or Tiki Night in the Pinned Collections list.
Each pinned tag displays as a dedicated horizontal carousel on the main home screen for quick inspiration.
